Anyone who says that this tour isn't up to par must have caught Clapton on a bad night, because he was better than I ever would have imagined. I've got to admit I was a little nervous that it wasn't going to be that great after reading some of the reviews from other shows, but I was pleasantly surprised by the awesome performance.
First was Robert Randolph and his band: I was a bit sceptical of these guys at first, but after the first song i was almost convinced that they were going to walk away with the show. That guy SHREDS! They really got the crowd into it, I was so impressed the next day I went and bought their CD.

After about a half hour of unbearable suspense, Clapton walked on stage and opened his set with the classic "Let it Rain." Every note throughout the night was perfect, his vocals were great and his solos were amazing. He played everything I could have asked for, all the classics, even a little taste of Cream with "Sunshine of your love." He left the stage after the encore with everyone hoping for more but the night had come to a close. Mr. Clapton I am in your debt, all these years gone by and you didn't miss a beat. This was by far the greatest show I've seen in my young life and I hope that you stop by San Jose again soon, I'll never forget that night at the Pavilion. Keep on Rockin!
