All too often, artists fall off the "musical map" and when they reappear a decade or two later, it's mainly an exercise in nostalgia. But on rare occasions, someone resurfaces who seems to have spent their time away from the spotlight honing and perfecting their craft, attaining new heights. Bobby Whitlock is definitely one of the latter! Heartfelt playing and a wonderful voice bring out the best in his compositional skills. Backed by a top-notch group of musicians, his "Bottom Line" performance is great fun and something to be enjoyed again and again. Highly recommended.

This boot has great sound quality and I had to buy it for all the Derek n' The Dominoes tunes on here just to see what they would be like since the original album. I wasn't disappointed, with all of the old favourites living up to my stringent expectations. The two outstanding unknowns were Guilty and this version of Thorn Tree In The Garden, Quality! All the fans of the album version of Layla will love this version and the vocals are class! Go on treat yourselves...
