It was an excellent performance. I was there. Beautiful night, calm weather and the Centenario Stadium full of people expecting to see "Slowhand" Clapton. Many of them too young. I feel very happy when Mick Taylor plays with the band themes like "Red House", from Hendrix. It was the first time that Clapton was playing in Montevideo (I think later he goes back once at least), and I remember specially the great performance of "Sunshine of your love", with a long percussion solo of Ray Cooper followed by all the people. |
